When you step into the entrance courtyard of Villa Nahma, you step straight into an exotic Asian oasis, complete with a profusion of orchids. One of St Barts' most beautiful and verdant tropical gardens surrounds the villa with tranquillity and seclusion, and its position on one of the highest points of the island ensures a constant cool breeze and panoramic ocean view over the Bays of Cul-de-Sac and Turtle Island.

This doesn't feel like a villa rental, but an invitation to share a much loved home, filled with the owners' favourite furniture and art objects. The rich, polished wood floors and wall panelling give a cosy atmosphere rare among St Barts villas, the filled bookcases add a homely touch, and the luxurious furnishings neglect no detail which could add to your comfort. Even the large pool deck feels cosy, with seating corners nestled in the vegetation, especially in the evening when candles and lanterns create an enchanted grove for poolside dining.

The bedroom accommodation is spacious, comfortable and versatile, with two rooms having king/twin options, one room with its own terrace, and another in a separate octagonal chalet with breakfast corner and secluded courtyard. Kitchen and bathrooms are state of the art but each with its individual style.

Villa Nahma is an exquisite vacation home that oozes personality, and it's hard to believe that shops, restaurants and water activities are only a few minutes drive away from this serene haven. A firm favourite with those looking for charm and character.
